What's that in the yard?

The back yard seems to have grown a large concrete block raised garden.
Amy and kids dug the starter trench in the tundra over the last few weeks... This past weekend was garden construction time. Six layers of lanscaping block, 14x5. Loads of fun - and now, loads of dirt.

Driveway work under way! Finishing tomorrow - this is the last of the major projects.

OK, so we haven't posted much in this space, mainly since progress has been slow since the addition has been enclosed. At long last, though, the plumbing, heating, and electrical roughs are in and inspected, and the final steps are under way. Insulation installed today!

Exterior vinyl siding applied over the last week. We're enclosed all around except for the windows in front and back - not ready yet. Our house is gray!

Rough plumbing finished on Saturday. Electrical work started today. About 5 weeks to go!

Roofing done. Concrete floors for garage poured last Friday. PT stairs for exterior are complete; stairs for interior/garage are complete - although door will have to swing into house, not where I would have liked (into garage landing)... code?

Tim the plumber started rough work in the addition last week and continues thru tomorrow - we've decided to also replace the water heater with a larger (75g) model, since this current (40g) one was around 10 years old. No need for another flood.

Exterior siding work started today. It will be nice to have something to keep the housewrap on - the recent storms kept pulling pieces off.
